Praed Street, Paddington
Praed Street in Paddington is home to Paddington Station (who lent its name to a bear from Peru who was found at the station!) and St Mary's Hospital. The street however was named after William Praed (pronounced as if to rhyme with 'trade') who was the Chairman of the company who built the nearby Paddington Basin.
