Paddington Basin

Loading map...
The Paddington Basin regeneration project has been ongoing since 1996, and is working to create new office, retail and residential space in this prime London location. The area is on the Paddington Basin arm of the Grand Union Canal, hence its' name, and barges and pleasure boats can still be seen on this stretch of the water. This virtual tour shows a large clipper moored in the Basin on the Canal. Further exploration shows you the new developments on the canalside, looking through towards Sheldon Square.

The architects have aimed to open up the space alongside the canal towpaths to the public so they are bright and accessible - allowing everyone the opportunity to enjoy the waterside environment. The regeneration of this area is vital given its proximity to central London, and the distance from London Heathrow (just 15 minutes on the Heathrow Express).
