Knightsbridge
Knightsbridge - taking its name not from a bridge used by knights, but from the legend of two knights fighting a duel on the bridge over the Westbourne River. These days, you're more likely to see shoppers duelling over bargains in the Harrods sale! Knightsbridge is home to two famous London department stores - Harvey Nichols (known as 'Harvey Nicks') and Harrods, arguably London's most famous shop and certainly London's largest at over 4.5 acres. There are a plethora of exclusive shops - both boutiques and chains, but wander further along Knightsbridge towards Kensington and you can take in fashion from a different era at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
