Liverpool Street

This virtual tour was captured in Liverpool Street, London, close to the Broadgate Centre. The area was renovated in the 1980s (having been described by an MP in 1944 as "almost completely squalid") and is now a bustling hub in the heart of the City of London.

In 1917 Liverpool Street station was bombed, killing 162 people. Although the station was extensively modified, the honour roll for the Great Eastern Railway employees who died during the Great War remains, along with the facade.
