Basinghall Avenue in the City of London was named after the Basings, a 13th century London family who lived locally. It is home to The Girdler's Company and Hall, one of the City Livery Companies.To the left of the Girdler's Hall, the large glazed building is One Basinghall Avenue, the new corporate headquarters of Standard Chartered.
