London virtual tours on your iPhone…

We’ve now created a portfolio of London Revolution’s London virtual tours which you can browse through on your iPhone. We’re envisaging that there might even be some practical purpose to this. Imagine you’re meeting someone, and want to show them the location in advance, even if they’re already on their way. Just tell them where to view the location in 360 degrees. No excuses for not being in exactly the right spot!
Okay, we may be pushing it a little. Perhaps it’s not practical at all. Perhaps it’s just a set of fabulous 360 degree images of great locations in London that you can browse through in your idle moments, on the train, whilst having a coffee or waiting for that friend who failed to check out the location first!
Either way, this is how you get to view the London virtual tours on your iPhone.
- Go to the App Store on your iPhone and find ‘Pangea VR’ (a free app) and install it.
- Once the app is downloaded, click on the ‘Enter URL’ button.
- Type in http://www.londonrevolution.net/iphone/index.xml to view the portfolio of iPhone enabled virtual tours.
You’re now able to scroll down the portfolio list and see a preview of each virtual tour. Each panorama has some text giving you some interesting info about the location (while you’re still in preview, click the ‘Aa’ button to read the text), or you can just hit ‘View Panorama’ to see the image. If you need to change the settings or come out of the panorama, just double tap the screen. You might want to change the ‘drift’ function, as the default drift can be a bit tricky to use initially.
